26th August marked the integration of a new feature to YouTube especially designed for the gamers’ niche. Google officially announced this project earlier in June. It will be competing with Amazon’s offshoot Twitch.tv.
YouTube Gaming will be a hub of several gaming pages covered from top-notch games to trending newcomers. It will be launched with around 25,000 gaming pages, each offering the players a deep insight into the game by providing livestreams, promotional videos, footages, and even more.
YouTube Gaming will also be made available as a mobile app. Chat option is available to have gossip or strategy building discussion while watching livestreams. The service will stream videos at a precise 60 fps.
YouTube Gaming’s website can be accessed from YouTube’s sub-domain www.gaming.youtube.com, it will also be available wherever YouTube will be. Website, along with Android and iOS apps, was made live at 10 am (Pacific).
