A Quick Guide to Take Better Instagram Photos Using HDR

There are various tips and tricks on how to get better Instagram photos, but one of the easiest ways is to make use of the HDR camera setting. HDR is high dynamic range imaging that captures multiple photos with different exposures, i.e. overexposed, underexposed, and one in the middle at the normal exposure. Consequently, the three exposures are combined together to make one perfect picture. In this article, we’ll tell you about how to take better Instagram photos using HDR. Read on.

HDR brings better color combination and details in a photo that a normal picture might not bring. A normal photo just concentrates on a bright sky instead of the image that ultimately causes the photo to look dark and lose details. In case of landscapes, HDR will combine an underexposed sky with an overexposed foreground to emphasize the best portion of an image so that the sky would not look blown out and the foreground would not be too dark.

For outdoor portrait shots, HDR will remove the shadows on the face of the subject and bring out details in the overexposed background. Continue reading to know how to take better Instagram photos using HDR on iPhone and Android device.
