If you find yourself regularly bumping up against your data limit then you need to monitor and track your cellular data usage on your iPhone.   1. To track your cellular data usage, head over to the Settings menu of your iPhone

  1. Next, tap on the Cellular If you scroll down, you will see your total iPhone data usage history. It will show your call time and total cellular data usage.

If you scroll down to the bottom, you will find the System Services button. While tapping on that, you will see how much cellular data you are using for services like Messaging Services, Push Notifications, Documents and Sync, iTunes Accounts, Siri, Voicemail, Software Updates, Find My iPhone, Diagnostics and Apple ID Services.

Scroll down to view the Cellular Data Usage. You’ll find two different options listed under this heading – Current Period (reflects all data usage since you last cleared your data usage statistics) and Current Period Roaming (shows data usage for areas in which your phone was not covered by the carrier)

Current Period data does not automatically reset for your billing cycle. You need to reset your cellular data usage statistics by tapping on the Reset Statistics option at the bottom of your device’s screen.
