Snapchat sky filters automatically detect sky in your images and repaint them with totally different atmospheric looks. In simple words, when the sky is recognized in a snap, new filters will appear automatically together with the normal filters. These new Snapchat filters let you paint the sky with different colors and weather patterns. You can select from a variety of options such as stormy clouds, rainbows, starry night, a gorgeous sunset, among others.

Use New Sky Filters in Snapchat
- Once updated, take a photo using your phone’s camera. Make sure that the sky is visible in your shot
- When the sky is detected, the new filters will automatically be available along with the normal Snapchat filters
- Swipe from right to left on the screen to see different filter options
- Choose the one you like and tap on the blue arrow to send your snap to your friends
At the moment, you are only able to use the new sky filters in Snapchat for still photos, not for videos.
