While enjoying videos on a mobile, some users prefer to watch with exaggerated colors and maximum brightness. There’s nothing wrong with this but sometimes, you just wish to relax and turn things down, removing strain on your eyes. If you use YouTube to live stream videos, you’ll be glad to know that Google has recently updated its app for iOS, adding the option of the Dark Mode. So, from now when you desire to tone down the lights while using the streaming service, YouTube dark mode for iOS will darken the things a bit.

Despite the fact that the Dark Mode feature has applied to the official YouTube app, not everyone is seeing the option just yet. Some trusted sources indicated that the YouTube dark mode for iOS is being enabled server side and may take some time to roll out worldwide.

Given that YouTube adds the Dark Mode in the latest iOS app update, so if you want to try your hands on the feature, be sure to update your app to the latest version. Once done, tap on your profile to enter the Settings menu. Next, toggle the switch next to the Dark Theme option to turn it On.

Apart from this, YouTube for Android also gets a new update. The app has jumped to version 13.0 and hits at loads of imminent features in development. This includes an Incognito mode, long-awaited dark theme, as well as other modifications.

After launching the YouTube dark mode for desktop last year, Google has now added the dark theme to the latest Android and iOS app update. In addition to this, the new update also includes code for an Incognito Mode, which is Google Chrome’s hugely popular private browsing feature. At present, users are able to pause videos and search history. However, this feature is buried in the Settings menu and it’s not immediately obvious when it’s enabled.

The latest YouTube update also hints at another feature that’s currently disabled in the app: swiping to skip ads. The app will soon give you the ability to skip ads by swiping rather than tapping. There’s even a hidden toggle within the settings in the code, allowing you to enable or disable the auto-play function. This feature is currently available in the app and displays while playing videos.

At the moment, there’s no word on when YouTube will activate all these features. We’ll update this post as soon as we get more information to share about the YouTube dark mode for iOS and other features. So, keep visiting our site!
